Two more things

#1 It really bugs me when people don't know how to use the words "yea" "yeah" and "yay" properly when they are writing things. Most of the time it is the improper use of "yeah."

"Yeah"-is used to agree with something, like the word "yes". "Yeah, that was a great movie."

"Yay"-is an exclamation of happiness or excitement. "Yay! We won the game!"

"Yea"-is used in the Bible and Book of Mormon. "Yea verrily..."

it's not that hard.

Movies I need to see: The Martian Boy, August Rush, Dan in Real Life, Ratatoullie(?), Bourne Ultimatum, Nanny Diaries, American Gangster (when it's edited), Be Kind Please Rewind, Mr. Magorium's Magical Emporium, Enchanted, Grace is Gone, that's it for right now but there's probably going to be more. I just need to get the list down so I remember.

To Eat or Not To Eat?

It's all Marissa's fault. Well sort of. Earlier on in the semester we were feeling like we were having too many sweets. We challenged ourselves to be really good about it for a week and not eat and desserts or sugar. It was really hard to be good and refuse food that was offered me. Eventually I had to think of punishments I would get if I broke the goal. Last week the punishment was I had to run with Marissa in the morning if I ate dessert. Fear of punishment was the only thing that worked. It is seriously crazy how much free food is all over. There are usually treats after ward prayer with cookies and brownies. FHE has a required treat phase. BYUSA has free food for random things all the time. Free hot dogs, hot chocolate, pie, candy, etc. It is hard to be good because it is really tempting. But then again it makes me realize what would happen if I did eat all the food that was available to me. Whoa baby! I just need to be good and say to myself that just because it's free doesn't mean I have to eat it. It's just a starving student's mindset I guess.

Freebies

I am a huge fan of free stuff. There are people all over just waiting to give something out to promote something else. But that doesn't mean you have do or buy anything. I have been on somewhat of a roll this semester. Already I have gotten four free T-shirts, lots of food, a DVD, copy of the constitution, tons of pens, the list goes on. Probably the the best event of the semester was the Job Fair. There was so much free stuff! I can't believe how greedy I got. I wasn't even interviewing for jobs but it was so easy to take stuff and not even pose like I was interested in their company. I got huge sugar cookies, a stress ball, hot dog, socks, hand sanitizer, mints, pens, notebooks, highligher, slinky thing, pins, you name it. Afterwards Jessica, Marissa, and I sat down with our loot to compare. Another time I posed as an accounting student and went to a free Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband concert. Not only was the concert free but they gave out free cds and these huge cookies. Earlier this summer I got a free print of Christ healing a man at the pool of bethesda from the Museum of Art. It was worth $12! Just this week I got free pie, cookies, hot dog, T-shirt, and pizza. It is honor week for the Studen Honor Association (SHA). The list never ends of free stuff. It makes me feel like I have accomplished something. And I did not spend any money. My advice is to stay aware of what's going on and you will be suprised at what you can find!

Texting a La Monica

This summer, whenever Monica was bored or something funny happened, she would send me a text. Here are some of the funniest:
-A hooker came into the store tonight. (And then she bought glitter something)
-Thought of the day: Some people are like slinkies. They have no real value to you, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.
-There is a girl speaking in my ward that just got back from her mission. She is the female version of Garrett Coles. Literally.
-I am house sitting and their fish died! What do I do?

And when you know Monica as we do, it makes it that much funnier.
